This site: a personal machine on the web, with windows that open side by side, a journal written in the browser, and a desk that works from the keyboard.
What it is
A small desktop that runs in the browser. Every page is a window that belongs to an app — Welcome, the Journal, Projects, About, Mail and Terminal — and windows open beside each other, move, resize, minimise and close, from the pointer or the keyboard. On a phone the same pages are a plain, ruled site.
How it works
Each app is a parallel-route slot, so a window keeps its page while another is in front, and the URL always belongs to the window in front. Every page is still prerendered as static HTML. Writing happens in Keystatic, which commits Markdown to git; the repository is the database and the backup.
